Sought after Australian ready to wear label Zimmermann , designed by sister Nicky and Simone Zimmermann, once again turned to Zoya Nail Polish to deliver a one-of-a-kind show look for their SS15 collection at Mercedes Benz Fashion Week in the Pavilion venue.
At the designers request for a nail conveying a mystic essence with curves and feminine shapes, Angel Williams (Lead Manicurist) and Rebecca Isa (Zoya Creative Director) joined forces to create a unique nail look using Zoya Nail Polish in Ziv, a liquid metal gold nail polish and negative nail space. Isa described the look as a “naked teardrop” which was placed slightly off center on the nail. Toes were painted with a solid cover of Ziv. The outcome was pure Zoya and pure Zimmermann as it echoed the soft watery ribbons of shimmering and sheer layered fabrics shown on the runway to perfection.
Isa recommends painting the curve of the teardrop first, and then filling in behind the curve with color. To finish apply Zoya Armor topcoatand Zoya Fast Drops to create your own mystical essence.

MARK and ESTEL
The Salon at Mercedes Benz Fashion Week (MBFW) provided the venue for the latest showing for Mark and Estel and the opportunity for Zoya Nail Polish to once again serve as nail care sponsor to the designing duo.
Lead Manicurist for Zoya, Cinnamon Bowser delivered a classic revamp "black vinyl" look for models using a black, ultra-shiny, high density color of Zoya Nail Polish in Willa which worked as a neutral with the shows edgy looks.
Backstage, Zoya Creative Director, Rebecca Isa provided a few tips for mastering the perfect edgy black nail. Always start with a smooth surface, Zoya Get Even will fill in any ridges and create the even nail foundation needed for that perfectly smooth and shiny finish this look demands. After the application of two coats of color, a glossy topcoat (Zoya Armor) and finishing with drying drops (Zoya Fast Drops), Isa also recommends reapplying topcoat every day or two to maintain the look.
Adding to the sexy show fun, Designers Mark Tango and Estel Day concluded the show with a dynamic dancing, singing live runway performance of the show theme "Malibu Anthem".
"Everything in this collection was made out of jeans, sweatshirts and sweat pants - WE LOVE FASHION - YOU ARE FASHION" ~ Mark and Estel, MBFW SS15
Entertained guests left the show happy, dancing and gifted with the featured show color of Zoya Willa along with two additional "Malibu Anthem" complimentary colors in Zoya Livingston (red) and Purity (white).

CREATURES OF COMFORT
Zoya Nail Polish kicked off another New York Fashion Week (NYFW) for the 2015 spring and summer season by playing with negative space on the nails at Creatures of Comfort for designer Jade Lai.
Lead Manicurist Alicia Torello, of The Wall Group, worked with Zoya Creative Director, Rebecca Isa to create a negative-space manicure they coined "The Midi". The look was achieved by dividing the nail in thirds horizontally with the midriff, Midi area, of the nail left bare. Two duo color versions of "The Midi" walked the Creatures of Comfort runway: Look one combined the soft metallic sandy hue of Zoya Farah and champagne sparkle of Zoya PixieDust in Tomoko while look two featured Zoya Flowie, a soft peachy brown cream, and the coppery gold metallic of Zoya Penny. Both looks shared a single strip of bare nail across the center. "A wide horizontal bar of color floats above a half moon of textured, metallic shimmer at the cuticle" said Isa. The finished show look was earthy, organic, sexy and ultimately very wearable.
The power of Instagram! When a backstage first look at the Zoya nails was posted by The Wall Group, the look took off immediately and gained steam with pick up coverage on Glamour Magazines' Lipstick.com site via one of the "girls in the beauty department" (aka Beth Shapouri) calling it a NYFW beauty obsession! And poof. a new nail trend "The Midi" was born.
Show attendees were gifted a special SS15 Creatures of Comfort Zoya Trio Box containing Zoya Flowie, Natalie and Bevin - three colors that could easily be combined into a few midi looks of their own.
